Based in Edmonton, Ceapro has emerged as a global biotechnology success story. Producing high-value botanical ingredients used in products from Neutrogena, Gold Bond and Dove, Ceapro has developed innovative processes to extract nutraceuticals from raw plant materials.
These complex biotechnical processes required a state-of-the-art facility and strong supporting process control expertise. Cybertech worked with Ceapro to develop cutting-edge PLC and HMI programming solutions, and we were proud to be present at September‘s official launch of their new biotech facility.
Alberta Premier Rachel Notley attended the event, and she applauded Ceapro’s contribution to Alberta’s economic diversification.
“Economic diversification is a company such as Ceapro, working with the U of A, to pioneer new products, develop innovative processes and build an incredible commercial enterprise that ships products around the world,” said Notley.
As Ceapro’s controls and systems integration contractor, Cybertech participated in everything from design and specification phases to startup and commissioning. In further developing our biotechnology project experience, we believe we’ve also supported an emerging industry leader to develop world-class botanical health products for international markets.
