Topic: Process Control – Going Beyond the Default Settings

Presented by
Richard Hadidian
Control System Integrator, Cybertech Automation

While some things run by themselves, industrial plants do not. Even long operating plants have areas where Operators may routinely put controllers in manual or experience control and performance issues. Investment in assets should be maximized to increase efficiency and profit. Cybertech will cover why it is important to spend time and effort on PID controller configuration, tuning and control strategies. The discussion will cover how to achieve this from initial design stage to start-up and ongoing performance monitoring. The goal is to get your plant running in auto.

Topic: Automated Tools To Increase Safety & Reliability

Presented by
Dean Whitford
Project Manager, Cybertech Automation

Safety and reliability are maximized when well-engineered industrial plants have Operations, Management and Engineering systems, and their documentation in sync. Any misalignment can contribute to inefficiencies, decreased operating plant safety and availability. This talk will present the processes and tools that can be used to reconcile documentation, control systems, operating data, and configuration across an entire plant site. This talk will present a case study that used data mining to identify gaps in an operating plant.
